Professional Solar Battery Services in Rockhampton and nearby towns

The majority of our Rockhampton customers have already made the decision that solar power is the way forward in terms of their energy supply. And for good reason, with equipment and installation costs coming down all the time, it's now a very affordable option by comparison. Solar batteries are an absolute must if you want to take maximum advantage of all that free sunshine out there. These batteries get charged up on sunny days, so they can then supply your home with power during those cloudy spells or at night when there are no sunrays to be found.

At Solar Rockhampton we offer a range of battery sizes to suit any household's needs and budget, as well as competitive rates on both installation and ongoing maintenance fees. We can recommend the best battery for your particular needs, with a range of models that include the popular 24vdc lithium, 48vdc lead acid and 48vdc hybrid models. There's also a choice of depth of discharge levels, from about 100-150% depending on the model.

When choosing batteries you'll need to consider how much power you want to store as well as how long you need it stored for (i.e. what percentage of charge you'd like to keep.) Our standard batteries are suitable for about 3 to 6 months' storage between charging cycles and will be more than enough for those average Australian's who just want an emergency supply of power when grid power is unavailable.

How often should I inspect my batteries?

Inspect your batteries at least once a year, or more often if you see any signs of deterioration. This could be rust on the terminals, water damage, corrosion or damage to cables etc. If you do not inspect your battery, there is no way of knowing that all are in good condition, which can lead to system failure.

What's the life expectancy of a solar battery?

One of the most common questions about batteries – and Solar batteries in particular – is about life expectancy. This is an important question because if someone doesn't take any remedial action after their system starts to fail, their battery could expire sooner than expected. The average battery lasts 12 years, but this depends on how it is taken care of. For example, if the battery is not being used properly or isn't maintained regularly, it may not last as long as expected.
